Postdoctoral Research
Dr. Haokun Wang joined the O’Hare Group in March 2025. He earned dual B.Eng. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology and University of Birmingham in 2019. He then completed an MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London in 2020, followed by a DPhil in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Prof. Shik Chi Edman Tsang in 2024.
His PhD research focused on developing efficient and stable catalytic systems for the upcycling of polyolefin (PO) plastic waste. He is currently continuing his research on PO plastic upcycling, funded by SCG Thailand, as a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Dermot O’Hare’s group.
